All staff and family members living in the daycare house are up to date on vaccinations. Staff may choose whether or not to wear masks when caring for children. When experiencing mild illness but still able to work, staff will wear masks when caring for children. When feeling severe illness, staff will stay home and a substitute teacher will be called in.
Children must stay home from daycare when they are experiencing:
- diarrhea
- vomiting
- fever of 100.4 or higher
They may return to daycare when they have gone 24 hours without experiencing symptoms and without the use of fever reducing medication.
Children with cold symptoms, such as runny nose or coughing, may still come to daycare, so long as their energy is good. If they are 2 y/o or older, they may wear a mask while they are experiencing cold symptoms, but masks are not required.
